My Story
My name is Vernita Sherman and I am an internet entrepreneur who has promoted various products and services online as an affiliate marketer, network marketer and information marketer. I live in Atlanta, GA, but I’m originally from Northern Virginia (raised in Falls Church and Arlington) which is the suburbs of Washington DC.
I started my home business journey at the age of 22 back in March of 2003, when all I wanted to do was pay off my credit card debt – so I searched for a way to make some extra money at home using the internet. I never imagined that my little search for extra income to pay off some bills would turn into a business that I am now very passionate about.
Before succeeding online, there was a time that I had struggled and didn’t know how to make a profit. Throughout the years I had purchased all kinds of ebooks, software, courses (both online and offline), and paid for seminars to learn everything I could about internet marketing and network marketing. Not only did I try to promote products and services online, but when I jumped around from various network marketing opportunities, I did what my upline told me to do and I prospected over the phone for hours; passed out flyers; mailed out business opportunity packets; and did everything I could to make money. I became a passionate student of both industries and developed many marketing skills…
…but guess what?
I failed miserably!
Yes I made money, but nowhere near as much money as I had spent. I had all the internet and network marketing knowledge in the world (so I thought), but I didn’t know how to put it all together. Every day was a failed home business day for me. Those days turned into weeks, those weeks turned into months, and those months turned into years. I was so frustrated, broke, burned out, and I was in double the amount of debt than I was when I first started! I wanted to give up, but I had developed a deep passion for internet marketing so I decided to turn my passion into an internet marketing business…and I continued to learn, fail, test, fail, try, fail and keep failing…until one day I stopped failing.
2008 was the year that I discovered how to finally put all the right elements together – I focused on some very important foundational principles that made all the difference with my results. I started teaching other home based business owners what to focus on, and how they could attract prospects to them and increase their income using the internet.
All those years of testing, tweaking, reading, and studying has giving me more than enough internet marketing and web designing skills to help entrepreneurs in all industries develop an online presence. So in late 2008 Virtual Marketing Media was born as in internet marketing consulting and small business web design company in Atlanta, GA. Later, instead of offering web design, I provided various internet marketing and SEO services to local small businesses all over the US.
Lately, many entrepreneurs in all industries have come to me for internet marketing help, so now I coach entrepreneurs and teach them internet marketing strategies that get results.
